Chris Bergmann is President and Co-Founder of Emissary Healthcare Consulting. Chris brings over 22 years of experience creating winning outcomes with customers at the intersection of the healthcare and information technology. His strong focus is to help hospitals, academic medical centers and health systems to manage, design and execute their most critical strategies. Chris' counsel and perspectives reflect his hands-on experience in healthcare IT consulting and outsourcing, packaged software implementations, commercial software development and care delivery.
Previously, Chris co-founded and led Exemplar Systems from a start-up to become one of the largest privately-held healthcare IT consulting firm serving large hospital providers in the United States, now known as CTG Healthcare Solutions. He has held key leadership positions including President, CEO and co-founder of Exemplar Systems and Elumen Solutions, Vice President and General Manager, CTG Healthcare Solutions, Vice President, Healthcare Solutions, for Cognizant Technology Solutions and similar roles with other companies.
Chris has successfully grown and led companies with several hundred HCIT consultants, merged companies (Exemplar Systems and DARCA), raised private equity funding and orchestrated business acquisitions. He has a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University, where he was a Weidler scholar.
Mike Lippman is Senior Vice President and Co-Founder of Emissary Healthcare Consulting. Mike has been immersed in healthcare operations and information technology for more than 28 years. Mike has facilitated successful information technology implementations from all vantage points in the industry: as a patient accounting manager in a hospital; in product management and account management roles for a leading HCIT software vendor; and as an advisory consultant and consulting manager.
For the last 16 years, Mike has led teams of consultants in both delivery and client relationship roles at two different consulting firms. In addition, Mike was a critical part of the leadership team that grew Exemplar Systems into what is now CTG Healthcare Solutions. Mike has held key leadership positions including Vice President, Consulting for Exemplar Systems and Elumen Solutions, as well as Vice President, Consulting and Vice President, Sales for CTG Healthcare Solutions.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in Health Administration from Miami University, Ohio. Mike is a member of the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and is an Advanced Member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). Mike is a recipient of HFMA's Bronze Follmer Award. He has presented nationally on various topics including: Clinical Information Systems, CPOE, Integration, Managed Care Systems, System Selection, and Consulting Techniques.
